We are in serious times generally as all governments around the world except for a very few countries have decided introduce harsh policies coupled by excess frivolous spending which has now become a burden for the working class in terms rising inflation.
These days you work hard, stay on the right side of the law, save money, have zero sidepieces but you are still not safe from poverty because of how greedy the political class is and like that is not enough to be a problem, we have not had this dearth of competent civil servants before in government all over the world.
Shambolic policies from MDAs (Ministries, Department and Agencies) accompanied by radical lawmakers with corrupt judges is certainly a match made in hellfire which is now an all out war on the citizenry and no one is left unburnt.
All governments around the world have declared their citizens “persona-non-grata”
Not all is to be blamed on the government but personal choices also have their own impacts on how we live or how we fare in the world.
Enough of bothering you with my world view, let us get straight to the point.
I need your help to raise 2 Million Naira for my E-commerce business.
E-commerce is a business that I am really passionate about because it is lucrative and also very dynamic. I have been in the business for more than half of the last 5 years and it has really helped me along with my 9-5 job here.
So why do I need 2 Million Naira??
I need help getting my business which is also my life back up to speed
Something like a defibrillator.
April 5th 2024, I had a serious medical emergency when a very close relative of mine collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital, what was thought to be HBP was diagnosed as Pericarditis.
Long story short; I burnt through my savings and had to sell an asset of mine to foot the hospital and surgery expenses with the hope that I would be crowdfunded back but we know that never happens as what is done is done and the main take-away is that the relative is hale and hearty.
This hurt my business but I soldiered on.
But I have not been able to hit the heights that I need to hit and with rising costs, spending is very high, savings are very low and working capital is depleting.
My cost of inventory used to be separated from my cost of sales and that also separated from my profit but now I don’t even know which is which.
I should just tell you my what but I also need you to understand my why.
How Do I Intend To Use This 2 Million Naira?
I run a unique type of E-commerce as I basically research pertinent health problems (prostate, sexual performance in men, eye defects, fibroid etc) that can be treated or alleviated with supplements, I then search for Wholesaler Pharmaceutical companies and become a distributor and as a distributor you have a minimum stock order before goods can be released at a wholesale price. I was a good distributor but I kept having to adjust my minimum stock order the more the dollar kept rising and soon I found myself partnering with 2 or more distributors as we were not able to meet the quotas for distributorship.
But now price has been adjusted higher again and new distributors are taking the initiative and buying heavily so that they can hoard these goods leaving people like me at their mercy which is a good way to dry off competition and maintain market hegemony.
PS: Distributorship starts from Three Million Naira Worth of Goods
These products I purchase are in high demand and below I will give you an idea of just how I do business.
Product Selling Price = N35,000
Product Cost Price = N8,000
Gross Profit = N27,000
Cost of Sale = N15,000
Ads cost = N6,000
Dispatch = N6,500
Waybill or Miscellaneous = N 2,500
Net profit = N12,000
Let us say we want to buy N3,000,000 Worth of Products
Products at Cost price: N3,000,000 divided by N8,000 = 375 pcs
Cost of Sales(Ads, Dispatch & Misc) = 15,000 * 125 = N3,625,000
Puts Total Cost @ = 6,625,000
Products to be sold @ 35,000 * 125 = N13,125,000 (Total Revenue)
Leaving a total net profit of 6,500,000
I need at least 3 Million Naira to Buy Minimum Stock so that I can sell comfortably and not worry about any price increase for at least 3 Months
These products can be sold off in 5 months or less which is very okay and more products can also be added to increase marginal revenue and still go on to increase marginal profit.

Not all of them are profitable, but you will find out after the market tells you.
You can only be as smart as the market, because what the market likes it will tell you within a week and what it hates, you will also know within that timeframe.

I have also sold as an affiliate on Clickbank and earned money in $$ too so I have a bit of an experience in the field.
2. I want to buy my way out of my job. (I want to resign)
I have worked the same 8 – 5 job for 8 Years now with no forward movement. It is my fault that I am still here but sometimes I see the beauty in it because If I had left I wasn’t sure I would have met my beautiful wife and had my handsome son by now.
But now leaving a job feels riskier by the day but if I am able to buy my way out then I have no business here.
The goal is to be able to buy enough time and within this purchased time, I want to build up my business and also earn the proper skills as I have began my journey to also become a Data Analyst as an added arsenal so that I can escape poverty and help relocate my family elsewhere as there is no upside to Nigeria right now and I think it is better I move and try to impact the country from another geolocation.
I currently earn N130,000 which is about $81.25(@ N1600 per dollar) which means annually I earn a little under $975 (1,560,000) which is nothing to write home about and all my earnings from my 9-5 are virtually consumed by food (pun intended) only not considering other running costs.
He who controls his time can control his wealth because time is literally money and for what it’s worth 1,560,000 is not worth a year of my time.
There are so many things that can replace work and give me a better worth.
The plan is not to resign immediately but slowly, make sure the structure of business is complete then pull out and by December 2024 I would have been fully out of the job.
The company where my wife worked has also been retrenching their staff due to the ailing economy and they have been printing out lists since February 2024 and by June 2024 she was part of the unlucky ones and now she is at home too.
This is one of the reasons why I need you to help me achieve this goal so I can at least be able to offer complete support at home and for my business.
3. I want to start a ranch (Goats and Rams)
Just kidding but I have a very huge space in my compound that is not well utilized and I have been given the go ahead to do whatever I want. I was thinking planting but animal husbandry feels more lucrative.
Ranching is heavily lucrative and it’s something I can venture into because my wife knows a thing or 2 about animals.
I have also help her setup a little business to keep from being idle for now but more will be needed and I should be able to provide.
In Summary:
I have life planned out but it is not easy to outhustle inflation or a failing economy but I wish to take that chance if you are willing to support me with something.
E-commerce, Resigning from the job, Becoming a Data Analyst and Becoming a Rancher.
I know that requesting for money is always ill-timed and there is no sugarcoating to make it feel good as there is no good time for that to happen but I will like to make my request now not when it’s an ‘SOS’ moment because for me “Risk is postponed safety and safety is postponed risk” as my inactions are equally as potent as my actions.
Help me in this quest to raise something substantial for my business.
